Static Mechanical Engineer – Farnborough
Location: Farnborough
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00am–5:00pm or 7:00am–4:00pm
Contract: 3-month temp to perm
Start Date: ASAP
Extras: Overtime available | No call-out rota
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Static Mechanical Engineer to join the on-site maintenance team at a large, modern commercial facility in Farnborough.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer looking for a stable, long-term position. The role begins as a 3-month temporary contract with a view to becoming permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) on HVAC and mechanical systems
Respond to reactive issues, including pumps, valves, pipework, AHUs, FCUs, and water systems
Basic plumbing and general mechanical repairs
Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and cooling systems
Support wider building services and maintenance when required
Ensure compliance with health & safety and mechanical standards
Work as part of an on-site facilities teamRequirements:
Recognised mechanical qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing)
Proven experience in commercial building maintenance
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical plant
Experience in PPMs, fault diagnosis, and repairs
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and problem-solving skillsWhat’s on Offer:
