Role Purpose
This role supports the team overseeing the commercial governance of contracts with key consultancies and contractors. You will help set up and manage Pathfinder programmes that embed best practice, develop long‑term collaborative partnership arrangements and deliver value for money.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide country‑wide support to Integrated Delivery Management teams and Project Management community, championing effective governance and commercial assurance.
* Develop and deliver commercial risk management frameworks and best practice across programmes.
* Prepare and deliver commercial proposals, reports and minutes.
* Lead stakeholder and relationship management with contractors, consultants and internal partners.
* Assist with incident response duties and training as required.
Qualifications
Essential education and skills
* A-Level or Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
* Strong communicator with interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Stakeholder management experience.
* Strong data and document management skills.
* Commercial acumen – ability to analyse business situations, take proportionate risks and deliver value for money.
* Administrative skills – strong organisation, minute‑taking and report drafting.
* Willingness to undertake long‑term professional qualifications (e.g. NEC, CIPS).
* Interest in infrastructure, construction or environmental programmes.
Desired qualifications
* Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
* Working towards membership of a recognised professional body (ICE, CIWEM, APM, CIPS, RICS).
* Formal training in contract management (e.g. NEC, Contract Management Capability Programme).
