About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant and inclusive school in Slough. This is a full-time position supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), working closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality care and learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of the Early Years curriculum, helping children meet their developmental milestones
* Assist with setting up and leading engaging and age-appropriate learning activities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to children as needed
* Contribute to a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment
* Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to learning journals and assessments
* Support with personal care routines in line with school and safeguarding policies
* Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers, and external professionals where necessary
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience working in an Early Years or nursery setting
* A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (or working towards one)
* A positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
* Good understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable:
* Paediatric First Aid trained
* Experience working with children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
