Role Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity for a temporary Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Social Work and Practice Team within the Cheviot locality, who are committed to delivering high quality services. The post is for a period of six months.

As part of a multi-agency team, you will play a key role in undertaking a range of occupational therapy assessments and our duty system whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals who need our support.
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of the tasks associated with Occupational Therapy in locality social work. This role involves carrying out the Council's statutory function of assessment and review, alongside taking a substantial role in the development of our community needs led strategy. Inter-agency working is vital and you will work alongside social work professionals and will liaise closely with colleagues in key organisations such as Health, and third and private sector care providers.
Essential
Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy.
Registration with the relevant professional body, HCPC.
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
