1-1 and General SEND Teaching Assistants – Leeds
Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant with a background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) wanting to work in Leeds and surrounding areas?
Our schools in Leeds, are looking for dedicated and nurturing TA’s to join their teams.
About the Role:
1. Support children in class.
2. Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of additional needs (including ASD, speech & language, and developmental delay).
3. Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement individual learning plans (EHCPs).
4. Foster a caring, creative, and inclusive learning environment that encourages every child to thrive.
About You:
5. Experience working with KS1 and KS2 pupils, ideally within a primary school setting.
6. Proven background supporting children with SEN (Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, etc.).
7. Knowledge of UK curriculum and child development principles.
8. Empathetic, patient, and proactive in approach.
9. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
10. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) desirable.
