About the role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced safety professional in the fields of high voltage, construction or energy to make a significant impact in the energy and renewables industry. Enerven are proud to work alongside Transgrid to deliver key projects across the state and further bolster our activity in reshaping the NSW energy market. We are seeking a highly motivated Work Health and Safety Advisor to join our growing team. Enerven is partnering with Transgrid on several key high voltage infrastructure projects across NSW, including two major sites in the Hunter region and an exciting new project in the Upper Hunter. These projects support large renewable developments that are transforming the NSW energy landscape. This position will be based in our office in Morisset on Lake Macquarie, with travel to our project sites across NSW required. Your duties and responsibilities: Implement WHS plans and supporting documentation Communicate WHS issues and standards Coordinate WHS initiatives for projects as required Regularly interact with workers on site Onboard and induct sub-contractors Classify and investigate incidents, ensuring close out of all actions to prevent reoccurrence Conduct WHS assurance and verification activities Monitor sub-contractors and ensure adherence to client requirements Provide monthly WHS reports as required by project, client, and Leader This role will provide support to our leaders, workers and contractors to effectively manage safety across our operations. Some paid overtime will be required for this role as well as regular travel between sites across NSW. A company vehicle will be provided. About you You will be a dynamic, engaging, hands on safety professional with an excellent understanding of construction and electrical safety management and able to work effectively in field environments Specific qualifications and experience required include: Diploma in WHS and/or the equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experience Current drivers license - car Experience working in the electrical and telecommunications industries is desirable Current First Aid Certificate (desirable) Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices, preferably within the energy and infrastructure industry. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams at all levels.
