we are looking for an Accountant to join the team based at our T3 Head Office in Solihull
About the Role
As the Accountant, you will support the Assistant Manager in partnering with key business stakeholders on specific focus area.Your role will also include contributing to the provision and reporting of effective financial information and management accounting at each month end and through the month as required.
Your responsibilities in this role will include (not exhaustive)
1. The preparation of and posting of journals
2. Supporting the assistant manager as part of the team delivering the month end close
3. Completing high-quality balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with guidelines and timetables
4. Working closely with business unit finance teams; ensuring full understanding and documentation of any balances and timely resolution of any issues, including managing expectation of any P&L impact
5. Being a key player in the management and review of certain Sox control processes
6. Play a key role in quarterly Balance Sheet Reviews with business unit finance
7. Prepare reporting as required for own area of focus including quarterly financial reporting
8. Reviewing journals and balance sheet reconciliations
9. Supporting both internal and external audits
10. Support Assistant Manager with cross team working across R2R and SSC as required including any inputs required to Statutory Accounts or Tax processes
What we are looking for
11. Someone who is friendly and professional
12. Is able to deal with large quantities of complex data
13. Microsoft Excel skills are essential for this role
14. Good understanding of accounting principles
15. Able to make balanced decisions
16. Good knowledge of accounting and financial systems
17. Able to work to tight deadlines and able to escalate issues confidently
18. Attention to detail
