Role Expectations:

You will assist the Office Manager in being responsible for all areas relating to the office and internal events. As the face of The Furniture Practice, you will create a clean, tidy and welcoming atmosphere for anyone who enters the building. You enjoy getting stuck in and doing what needs to be done, whilst keeping an eye on the bigger picture and areas where improvements could be made. The office being presentable for both staff and visitors should always be at the forefront of everything you do. You are enthusiastic about joining the TFP journey and making the role your own.

Responsibilities:

· Greet all visitors in a friendly and professional manner, including offering them refreshments and/or assisting them with their queries.

· Order and manage the food and beverages provided within the office, whilst remaining within the weekly budget.

· Manage incoming and outgoing deliveries and post.

· Answer the phone and deliver messages where appropriate.

· Carry out daily office checks, ensuring the office is always presentable by maintaining a clean and organised office, including the sample's cupboard area and recycling bins.

· Perform clerical duties such as collating/formatting information, binding, couriering, e-filing, photocopying, and scanning.

· Manage the office supplies inventory.

· Build and maintain supplier relationships.

· Coordinate transportation, including arranging taxis and couriers, and managing shipping and leaver equipment returns.

· Assist with the setup of our mid and end of month company meetings, including the IT and refreshment setup.

· Lead the coordination of our many exciting annual and ad hoc internal events, such as Family Day, Company Presentation Day, Rounders Day, the Christmas Party and the Off-Site Training Trip.

· Book travel for Directors and for staff attending industry events.

· Uploading and completing Soldo related expenses.

· Provide ad hoc HR support.

· Provide support to additional teams across the wider business where necessary.

To be successful in this role you need to:

· Show excellent organisational and time management skills

· Have a proactive attitude towards learning and making the role your own

· Have a minimum of one years' experience in events management or comparable position.

· Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Be punctual, personable and professional

· Develop and sustain effective relationships with stakeholders at every level, ensuring professionalism and confidentiality are consistently maintained.

· Show examples of following the TFP Code (our core values)

· Be motivated to make environmentally conscious decisions in everything you do

· Come up with improvements to our processes and show drive to complete what you start

· Have experience using Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

· Be able to manage and adhere to budgets and financial deadlines

· Have the ability to remain calm and perform well under pressure, with conflicting priorities.

It would be a bonus if you have:

· Previous office management experience

· Previous front of house experience

· Previous use of
