Overview
Social Work Team Manager - Adults Neighbourhood Service in Trafford, £40 per hour. Full-time ongoing contract. You will be working across multiple community social work teams, providing essential support, managing waiting lists, and overseeing supervision. One focus is to manage the interim triage team, addressing new service contacts and promoting the prevention agenda. Initial days will be office-based with a potential move to more flexible working arrangements 2 to 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
* Engage and aid the strategic planning of neighbourhood services.
* Work closely with partners to provide effective support models and seamless assessments.
* Ensure high-quality assessments and support plans are in place for adults with complex needs.
* Lead and manage complex safeguarding cases, contributing your expertise.
* Collate performance data to enhance preventative strategies in collaboration with commissioners.
* Assist the Service Manager in aligning service delivery with council objectives and legislative requirements.
Requirements
* Experience at Team Manager level with a strong capability in independent decision-making.
* Hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
* Have qualifications like Best Interest Assessor (BIA) or Practice Educator.
* A background in adult services social care with substantial supervisory and management experience.
* In-depth knowledge of adult social care legislation and practices.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships.
* Possess excellent organisational skills and proficiency in data interpretation.
* Hold a full UK driving licence and be capable of travel within and sometimes beyond the Trafford area.
