Reed Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wakefield, seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team.
This is a full-time role supporting a group of six children with complex SEND needs, where your expertise and compassion will make a lasting impact. The successful candidate will play a vital role in nurturing development, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to children with a range of complex SEND needs within EYFS.
* Assist with personal care duties, including nappy changing, in a respectful and dignified manner.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
* Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages engagement and progress.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to reviews and planning meetings.
What We’re Looking For:
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
* Proven experience supporting children with SEND, particularly in Early Years.
* A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to learning and care.
* Confidence in managing personal care needs sensitively and professionally.
* Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
