Description About the Team The Information and Support unit is responsible for a range of programs and services to advance the provision of supportive care for people affected by cancer. Programs aim to minimise the impact of cancer and/or improve quality of life. Through a range of strategies, the unit will: • deliver high quality, targeted support services to people with cancer and their families • use existing evidence and generate new evidence to advance supportive care • promote supportive care through partnerships, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement About the Role The Survivorship Programs Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of Healthy Living after Cancer Program, which focus on improving the psychological and physical wellbeing for people living with or after cancer. Working closely with the Wellbeing Programs Lead, this role will liaise with partner organisations and key stakeholders, developing effective working relationships to explore opportunities to grow and develop sustainable support programs, in both metropolitan and regional South Australia. Other duties will support delivering evidence-based cancer support programs within the Information and Support team. Skills And Experiences About You Tertiary qualifications in health, health promotion, education or community development, with a minimum of two years relevant post-graduate experience. Experience in coordinating projects, with ability to critically appraise, evaluate and re-design programs for efficiency and effectiveness. High level of communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with demonstrated experience in dealing with complex emotional concerns. Ability to network and well-developed stakeholder engagement skills. Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritise task and reliably achieve objectives. Sound knowledge of cancer control issues and the psychosocial impact of cancer on individuals, families and communities. The role is being offered as a fixed-term part time role (0.4FTE) until 30 June 2026.
