A Class 2 Driver for our client, you will be delivering beverages to customer premises, working with a driver's mate to ensure safe, timely, and accurate multi-drop deliveries. Key duties include daily vehicle checks, securing customer orders, assisting with unloading, collecting returns like empty kegs and pallets, managing paperwork and administration, and communicating with customers and the transport team. The role requires a valid Class 2 HGV license, CPC license, and a minimum of 12 months' Class 2 driving experience, alongside good local road knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
* Customer Delivery:Deliver beverage orders to customers using a multi-drop system.
* Teamwork:Work alongside a driver's mate for unloading and delivery assistance.
* Vehicle Maintenance:Perform daily vehicle inspection checks and report any issues.
* Order Management:Ensure orders are correctly secured before departure and assist with the unloading process.
* Returns Handling:Collect empty kegs, pallets, and other returns, storing them correctly at the depot.
* Compliance:Adhere to health and safety procedures and tachograph legislation.
* Communication:Keep the customer informed of any potential issues like delivery delays or stock shortages.
* Paperwork:Complete all necessary paperwork, including electronic Proof of Delivery (EPODs) and other administrative tasks.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* A valid Class 2 HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) driving licence.
* A valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) licence.
* Over three years of driving experience, with at least 12 months of Class 2 driving experience.
* Good knowledge of the local road network.
