We’re now looking for a proactive and detail-driven Assistant Accountant to support core Finance operations and play a key role in period-end reporting, reconciliations and workflow improvement.
About the Role:
This role sits at the heart of our Finance team. It is hands-on, detail-focused and critical for maintaining accuracy, control and efficiency in our financial processes.
You’ll work closely with our Finance Manager and wider team- supporting management accounts, reconciling financial data, ensuring timely reporting and contributing to stronger financial governance across the business.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys structure, accuracy and problem solving- and who wants to develop their experience in a supportive environment with scope for growth.
What You’ll Support, Deliver & Contribute To
You will:
1. Support monthly management accounts and period-end processes
2. Produce daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting packs
3. Process expense and credit-card transactions via Concur
4. Maintain balance-sheet reconciliations and financial records
5. Process supplier invoices, ServiceNow tickets and payment requests
6. Monitor finance KPIs and assist with forecast/budget inputs
7. Identify ways to streamline workflows and improve accuracy
8. Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives

What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who:
20. Is part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE with relevant experience
21. Has strong Excel capability and confidence with financial systems
22. Has experience supporting period-end reporting & reconciliations
23. Is analytical, organised and deadline-focused
24. Communicates clearly and works well with stakeholders across teams
25. Acts with integrity, accuracy and curiosity- always looking to improve how we work
