Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the menu specifications, ensuring quality and presentation are consistently met.
* Oversee meal preparation, including portion control and plating techniques.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service during peak hours.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
* Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative cooking techniques.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure uninterrupted service.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and best practices.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
* Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
