An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Underwriter to join our successful Regional Financial Lines team at Allianz. The role will be located in London, Maidstone, Chelmsford, or Southampton, with a requirement to work on-site/in-office 3 days a week.
Role Overview
We are seeking a talented, ambitious, and passionate underwriting professional to help us build a ‘Best in Industry’ team that sets the gold standard within the Allianz Group. Responsibilities include risk pricing, new business acquisition, claims data analysis, implementing bespoke scheme arrangements, handling broker queries, and managing renewal processes in compliance with regulations. You will also develop broker relationships through regular visits and collaborate with other departments to support our growth ambitions.
Development Opportunities
You will participate in the Global P&C Academy accreditation, enhancing your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management, while exchanging best practices across the Allianz Group. For pricing roles, Allianz Insurance offers a generous study package to support the actuarial qualification through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.

Salary Information
Pay: Circa £45,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and location. Salary is part of our total reward package.

As a Financial Lines Underwriter, your responsibilities will include:

* Developing broker relationships
* Achieving financial performance targets
* Collaborating across departments to deliver service
* Processing renewals and mid-term adjustments
* Ensuring compliance in document dispatch to Brokers
* Focusing on broker relationships and new business growth
To succeed, you should have:
* Experience with Professional Indemnity (PI) and/or Directors and Officers (D&O) Underwriting
* Negotiation skills within authority limits
* Proven ability to build broker relationships
* A proactive, team-oriented attitude
* Customer focus and influencing skills
* Self-motivation and initiative
* Strong trading skills
