Head of Finance: Group Costs & Facilities
Role Introduction
Part of a group finance team and directly supporting the Divisional MD. This role has responsibility for partnering with both the businesses and functional streams alongside delivering timely & accurate month end reporting, business intelligence and insightful actionable analytics are provided to our functional and market teams. Ensure that the information provided helps to shape the future of the business, driving commercial performance & delivery of the financial plan.
Please note this role may require you to travel into Birmingham 1-2 days per week.
What You Will Do
* Stakeholder engagement to senior manager level - partnering Divisional MD
* Be an effective business partner, while constantly seeking out opportunities to improve performance and management information
* Contribute as a member of the business unit management teams, responsible for day-to-day operational performance of the business and relaying financial performance & risk
* Managing month end processes and identifying opportunities to streamline the process
* Leading the forecasting and planning for the division
* Work with the business on Strategic plans and feeding into the centre
* Collaborate with the central finance team to deliver best in class reporting, forecasting and insightful analysis and transformational change
* Management of one Financial Analyst
What You Will Have
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA)
* Bachelor's degree in Business / Economics / Marketing / Finance or other relevant subject preferred.
* Strong analytical skills; quantitative or financial techniques with keen approach to problem-solving
* Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
* Solid background in accounting, financial planning, budgeting and financial modelling
* Hands-on Salesforce.com and Excel expertise an advantage
* Working within Finance or alongside functional operations an advantage
* Strong people management skills
* Exposure to BI and Performance Management tools
* Experience of working within corporate environment
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with cross-functional, cross-cultural teams
* Consistent attention to detail and accuracy, delivering outputs of the highest standards
* Proactive, insightful and commercially astute
* Solid working knowledge of finance systems
