About the role
As a Claims Broker at Specialist Risk Group, you’ll play a central role in supporting clients through the full lifecycle of a claim, from first notification to settlement. Working within a collaborative claims team, you’ll ensure claims are handled accurately, efficiently and in line with agreed authorities, while building trusted relationships across the market.
Reporting to the Head of Claims, you’ll manage a varied claims portfolio, working closely with brokers, underwriters, clients and loss adjusters to deliver timely and compliant outcomes.
What you will be doing
* Managing claims from notification through to settlement, ensuring accuracy and agreed timescales are met
* Acting as a key point of contact for brokers, underwriters, clients and loss adjusters
* Broking individual claims and claims bordereaux into the Lloyd’s market
* Preparing high-quality documentation, correspondence and system records
* Monitoring payments, documentation and subjectivities, chasing where needed
Who we are looking for
This role would suit someone with strong claims handling experience who enjoys working across stakeholders and maintaining high professional standards.
* Experience handling insurance claims within a broking or market-facing environment
* Experience using Electronic Claims Flies (ECF)
* Sound knowledge of Lloyd’s market processes and claims handling authorities
* Confidence managing complex queries and escalating issues appropriately
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Clear, professional communication skills, written and verbal
* GCSEs or A Levels including Maths and English
