Support worker

The role
At Bright Futures, we champion the potential of every person with autism and a learning disability, believing wholeheartedly in their ability to thrive and lead the most fulfilling lives. We're looking for passionate and caring Support Workers to join our specialist home in Stockton Heath, Warrington. Our Stockton Heath service is one of Bright Futures' most established adult homes, made up of two properties, Bridgewell and Coach House, just a short walk from the busy village centre. The homes offer a warm, structured and community-focused setting where adults are supported to feel safe, settled and engaged both day and night. The individuals we support each have their own routines, interests and communication needs, and staff play an important role in helping them enjoy the activities they love whether that's walking, sports, music, Disney films, reading, games, family time, or trips into the community. Many individuals value clear routines and patient, reassuring support, and Waking Night staff help maintain safety, comfort and consistency overnight while completing essential monitoring, communication logs and agreed night-time duties. As a Support Worker, you will be a key part of their day-to-day support team, actively valuing and amplifying what matters to them, empowering their communication and independence, planning fulfilling activities. You will also keep records of their needs, support provided and progress. No two days are the same, you could be supporting someone to settle into their new home, develop independence and life skills, enjoy activities they love, or achieve important milestones. You'll be part of a supportive team creating a safe, positive, and empowering environment where people can truly thrive. You will help to create a warm, stimulating environment whilst working a mix of day shifts and sleeps to meet individual needs. You'll do more than provide care – you'll be a mentor, advocate, and source of encouragement, helping the people you support to achieve the best outcomes. What we're looking for: Passion for person-centred support Positive, proactive attitude Resilience and strong teamwork skills Willingness to learn and grow Full UK driving licence Care experience is helpful but not essential - full training and support will be provided. Make a difference every day while building a rewarding career with Bright Futures.
