Strategic business partner to MD and Regional Operations Director
UK based with national travel
£75,000 - £90,000k DOE + car + bonus
We are supporting an international services organisation in the appointment of a Strategy Director to act as a senior strategic business partner to the Managing Director and Regional Operations Director for the UK and Ireland. This role has a clear future focused remit, shaping direction, translating strategy into action, and delivering measurable change across a complex, multi site operation.
The role
The Strategy Director will partner closely with senior leadership to define priorities and convert them into clear, actionable programmes that deliver tangible results.
Key responsibilities include
• Acting as a strategic advisor and business partner to the MD and Regional Operations Director
• Translating long term objectives into practical initiatives across a multi site estate
• Identifying performance gaps, structural inefficiencies, and growth opportunities
• Leading cross functional change and improvement programmes with clear ownership and outcomes
• Shaping future footprint, capacity, and investment decisions
• Providing financial and operational insight to support decision making at leadership level
• Supporting commercial and customer related initiatives where strategic input is required
• Ensuring change initiatives align with regulatory, safety, and operational standards
Regular UK travel is required, with occasional travel to Ireland.
Candidate profile
Our client is seeking a senior leader from a multi site operational environment within logistics, rental, automotive, transport, or service led sectors
You are likely to bring
• Experience operating as a strategic partner to senior leadership in an operationally complex business
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to assess impact and prioritise effectively
• Experience leading cross functional change or transformation programmes
• An understanding of large scale, multi site service or asset based operations
• The credibility to challenge constructively and influence without direct line authority
• A data led, outcome focused approach and strong communication skills
A degree in business, operations, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. Advanced leadership or professional qualifications are advantageous.
