This role is ideal for anyone looking for a role that allows them to have the school holidays off, as it's based on site in Kingston but it's term time 4 weeks which equates to 42 per year. Salary is up to £29k pro-rata based on 42 working weeks a year. The role is very broad in nature, meaning you'd be getting stuck into all aspects of the Finance function, working alongside another Finance Officer both supporting the Finance Manager & CFO - altogether an exciting role with a Trust that are going places. Whats on offer Pro-rata salary up to £29k (Full time salary £32k) Government pension scheme with up to 19% employer contributions Term Time working so school holidays off Subsidised study at highly rated University at Masters and Doctorate Level Staff reward scheme for exceptional performance Company laptop Rewarding sector in Education The Role Responsibilities include: Process Purchase Orders and generally maintain PO process ensuring departmental adherence Match incoming invoices to delivery notes/Purchase Orders Ensure budget holders follow financial procedures consistently Bank reconciliation Purchase Ledger from receipt to payment, coding, positing and gaining authorisations on invoices Supplier payment runs Sales Ledger processing Raising invoices, posting to Access Education and ensuring monies received Process staff expense claims. Communicate with suppliers, reconcile statements, and promptly resolve inquiries. Manage Petty Cash Maintain accurate records for school trips Monthly sales and purchase ledger reconciliations and timely close Support Finance Manager & Finance Director on a daily basis. Provide financial information as needed by staff, governors, and auditors. Keep precise financial records using Access Education, Excel, and databases. The Person Experience within Not-For-Profit/Public/Education sectors is desirable but not mandatory Experience with Access Education software again desirable but not mandatory Comfortable working on Excel and extracting/manipulating data into usable reports Experience within transactional Finance roles previously Able to work from Kingston Upon Thames on a daily basis Honest, approachable & self-motivated Were happy to speak to anyone who would also like to be considered for this role on a part time basis so please still feel free to reach out if that is more suitable.
