We are recruiting an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead and strengthen our operations. This pivotal role ensures the efficient, safe, and cost-effective storage and movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods. You will take ownership of optimising inventory control, securing timely deliveries, and supporting our manufacturing processes through effective materials handling and logistics planning.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
* Oversee all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch
* Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations
* Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant working environment
* Continuously improve warehouse layout and workflow
* Implement KPIs to monitor and drive efficiency
* Manage returns, damaged stock, and non-conforming products.
Logistics & Distribution
* Plan and coordinate logistics to support production and customer deliveries
* Manage inbound and outbound transportation, including carrier selection, route optimisation, and freight costs
* Negotiate with and oversee third-party logistics providers
* Track shipments and resolve issues such as delays, customs clearance, or damages.
Team Leadership
* Lead, coach, and develop the warehouse and logistics team
* Build a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
* Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Customer Service teams to align with business goals.
Systems & Compliance
* Oversee Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP integration for inventory and production planning
* Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, quality standards, customs, and export controls
Cost & Efficiency
* Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising service levels
* Support lean initiatives and drive process improvements.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in warehouse and logistics management within a manufacturing/industrial environment
* Proven understanding of supply chain principles and logistics best practices
* Strong knowledge of ERP and WMS systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
* Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
* Knowledge of HSE regulations and compliance requirements
* Data-driven with strong analytical skills.
Desirable:
* Degree/diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
* Experience with import/export processes and international logistics
* Forklift licence or knowledge of material handling equipment.
What We Offer
* Salary £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
* Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00am–4:45pm, Friday 8:00am–3:45pm (39 hours per week)
* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
