Mechanical Asset Technician – Anglian Water Services
Starting salary £34‑38k depending on skills and qualifications. Opportunity to earn up to £44k with additional training and experience. This role offers reactive duties and the ability to earn standby and overtime. Permanent, 37 hours per week. Location: Norwich, Diss and surrounding areas.

Role Overview
You will join one of our Water Services Teams where you will ensure that the water supply process delivers wholesome drinking water to our customers. You will be responsible for keeping all kinds of equipment at the out Water Treatment Works operating correctly and reliably, and you will be enthusiastic about carrying out planned maintenance and responding promptly to issues and incidents.
Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day operation and maintenance of water supply assets – including pumps, reservoirs, towers, and pumping stations.
* Planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical assets (pumps, screens, mixers, chemical dosing systems, etc.).
* Service and calibrations of water quality instruments and control systems.
* Work towards a Licence to Operate Qualification to manage multiple complex water treatment works.
Qualifications and Experience
* Completed an apprenticeship, NVQ Level 2 and have a relevant ONC/BTEC.
* Flexible approach to working hours and the ability to undertake standby duties (must live within the surrounding/neighbouring areas).
* Mechanical knowledge and a willingness to learn quickly and use initiative to solve problems.
* Experience or training in water treatment works is highly desirable.
