Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience + up to 20% annual bonus + benefits

The Role
As a QA engineer you will be part of the Professional Services organisation at LDMS, working closely with multi-disciplined teams in order to deliver world class financial software for LDMS’ partners and clients. You will be working with an existing tech stack that is largely Oracle and Java based but will be generally agnostic as to technology, choosing the right one for the current job.
* Ensure the product we deliver are of high quality and adhering to the requirement specification provided by the customer
* Following and promoting BDD practices, working closely with various team members to embed testing methodologies within the development process.
* Actively participate in an agile development environment, iterating quickly on software features and functionalities.
* Continually develop your own skills to help increase overall capability of the team
* Active contribution to the team discussions
* Collaborating with the cross-functional teams contributing to overall improvement of the software quality throughout development life cycle
Key Responsibilities
From time to time the key responsibilities may change or be adapted to the needs of the business, however the below gives an overview of the key areas of focus:
Day to Day
o Work closely with development teams to understand the requirements, correct bugs and identify testing needs.
o Planning and prioritising the everyday work
o Develop, execute and maintain comprehensive test plans based on project requirements.
o Perform testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure overall product quality.
o Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts
o Defect reporting and tracking
o Knowledge sharing and support to Junior members of the team
o Offer meaningful suggestions or pose pertinent questions during retrospectives and refinement sessions
People & Teams
o Work across multi-disciplined teams contributing to the estimation, prioritising, planning of testing activities to understand and handle the dependencies
o Interacting with the relevant internal stakeholders to understand and analyse the requirements
o Providing relevant documentation or guidance to the external stakeholders during the UAT phase to help them understand the feature or application under test.
Requirements
o Hands on experience in software testing
o Hands on experience in implementing automation tests using cucumber framework
o Knowledge of any programming languages (java, javascript)
o Proficient in using database queries Oracle or similar
o Exposure to Configuration management tool (git/bitbucket or any relevant tool)
o Exposure to CI/CD pipeline
o Ability to deliver within given timescales and constraints
o Good verbal, written and communication skills
