Advert Project Officer – Housing Investment Fund, Outer Hebrides 37 hours per week, Fixed Term of two years £38,590 - £42,603 per annum, Inclusive of £2,997 Distant Islands Allowance The postholder will develop, administer and co-ordinate delivery of the Outer Hebrides Housing Investment Fund. This £3.5m, short-term funding stream, supported by the UK Government’s Community Regeneration Partnership, will seek to initiate key pieces of work to address current challenges faced by the private sector housing stock in the islands. It will provide access to funding to address challenges with existing mechanisms for self-build, seek to incentivise the return of empty homes into use, and improve energy efficiency standards of private sector housing stock. You will have an understanding of the housing context, challenges and opportunities in the Outer Hebrides and knowledge of the policy landscape at local and national level in relation to housing in the Outer Hebrides. It is essential you have excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to present information and advice clearly to a diverse range of audiences, competence in Microsoft Office applications and financial management and monitoring skills. You must have a relevant degree-level qualification or a minimum of three years relevant practical work experience along with experience in developing and /or administering grant funding schemes. A current full UK driving licence is essential. Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
