We’re looking for a proactive and tech-curious student to join our Service Desk team on a 12-month placement. Whether you’re completing a sandwich year as part of your degree or have deferred your university placement to gain industry experience, this is a brilliant opportunity to develop practical skills, work alongside experienced professionals, and gain a solid foundation in IT support.
What You’ll Learn & Do:
* Be the first point of contact for IT-related queries, resolving issues by phone, email or ticketing system.
* Log, manage and update support tickets with clear, accurate information.
* Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and network problems.
* Escalate complex issues to second-line support when required.
* Help users navigate systems and tools with confidence.
* Learn how a real-world service desk operates in a fast-paced business environment.
What We're Looking For:
* You’re on track for a 2:1 or above in a technology-related or business degree - or have deferred your studies to gain work experience.
* You have a natural problem-solving mindset and enjoy helping people.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
* A basic understanding of IT systems, Microsoft Office, and ticketing tools (training provided).
* Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn from the ground up.
