Job Description
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will drive quality excellence across client projects, ensuring adherence to rigorous quality requirements in the nuclear sector. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring client and supply-chain compliance with quality requirements through robust oversight and auditing.
* Managing Manufacturing Inspection & Test Plans and Life-Time Quality Records.
* Leading quality surveillance activities at client and subcontractor sites across the UK and internationally.
* Facilitating non-conformance resolution and conducting root cause analyses.
* Supporting risk and opportunity reviews while embedding lessons learned.
* Leading supplier and internal audits to maintain quality benchmarks.
* Analyzing quality data to inform project management decisions effectively.
* Preparing comprehensive quality reports for stakeholders.
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in regulated sectors with expertise in quality management.
* Background in mechanical engineering or welding.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001, plus ideally GS-R-3, and relevant standards.
* Process mapping experience.
* Strong understanding of quality tools (e.g., SPC, Histograms).
Desired Skills
* CSWIP 3.1 Senior Welding Inspector certification
* Experience in the Nuclear sector
* Practitioner Grade CQI membership or equivalent
* IRCA Registered Lead Auditor qualification.
* Engineering HNC/Diploma or apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
* NDT qualifications (e.g., Level II/III in Radiography, Ultrasonics).
* Multilingual abilities, preferably French.
