You will work collaboratively to provide an accountable and visible demand led resident service that meet performance expectations. You will build strong relationships and help to drive an improvement in the quality of home and neighbourhood. Key Responsibilities: Provide practical help, support and referrals to our partner agencies for customers who need support with managing their home and tenancy. Encouraging access to specialist advice where there are factors requiring additional assistance. Monitor and drive improvements in home and neighbourhood standards, ensuring customers can be proud to live in their communities Welcome new tenants to their properties by conducting new tenant visits and assisting existing customers by responding to their tenancy related requests. Respond and investigate allegations of tenancy breaches and anti-social behaviour, offering interventions when necessary and keeping robust notes and evidence for preparation of paperwork for legal action. Organise and attend surgeries, drop in sessions, home visits, meetings and events where appropriate. Prepare cases for legal action including drafting notices and witness statements and presenting cases in court. Manage cases of Anti-Social Behaviour, Safeguarding concerns and other vulnerable residents in line with existing policies, procedures and best practice. Manage property condition concerns ensuring these are dealt with sensitively but robustly in line with HHSRS requirements. Work closely with internal and external partners making referrals and signposting where necessary to achieve the best outcome for the customer. Ensure all relevant legislation, policies and procedures are adhered to and be able to communicate these effectively. Assess and understand customer data when dealing with individual cases to ensure they are dealt with sensitively, efficiently and effectively. Manage a diverse caseload Work collaboratively with other housing teams specifically on rent arrears and anti-social behaviour prevention What We’re Looking For Must haves: Be passionate about the delivery of social housing and thriving communities with an understanding of some of the challenges our customer groups may experience. You will have a caring and enthusiastic approach to provide support to vulnerable customers. Work with customers to deliver high trust, low effort solutions. To have a flexible approach to delivering services and working remotely, able to use your initiative and work independently whilst contributing to team objectives. Knowledge of social housing, tenancy management and welfare benefits Experience of planning, coordinating and delivering 1:1 intervention work Have a full clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work Nice to haves: Identify and manage difficult conversations with customers, which could include those causing anti-social behaviour, in financial difficulty or suffering from domestic abuse Be bold in challenging any areas where you see opportunity for improvements, and having the tenacity to drive these through to realisation Work with us to reduce complaints and increase customer satisfaction. Taking ownerships of problems and finding innovate ways to solve Cope well under pressure and manage competing demands. Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with a wide range of customers and colleagues.
