Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Joiner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and installing bespoke wooden components with precision and care. Duties
* Fabricate and assemble wooden components using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
* Operate a variety of carpentry equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
* Fit and install joinery products on-site or within workshop settings, including window frames, doors, and customised furniture.
* Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to maintain high standards.
* Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects.
* Assist with heavy lifting and manoeuvring of materials as required.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
* Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery.
* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment.
* Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, masonry, electrical systems or construction painting is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
* Strong understanding of technical drawings and blueprints.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Physical fitness suitable for manual work over extended periods.
* Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are preferred but not mandatory.
