Business Unit
We help conceive, drive, and implement transport solutions for cities, regions, and asset owners/operators worldwide. From business case preparation and advisory on revenue, procurement, and environmental legislation to delivery and maintenance of infrastructure, we cover the whole project cycle and play a major role in developing the Global Transport Sector Strategy.
Job Description
As a key member of the Ports, Coastal and Offshore (PCO) team, you will influence the success of our maritime projects by contributing to outcomes that exceed client expectations. You will predominantly lead specialist and multi‑disciplinary teams through the project life‑cycle, including economic and feasibility assessments, coastal process, metocean and hydrodynamic investigations, detailed design and construction documentation. Sectors include UK and international coastal zone management, offshore renewables and cables, and tidal power.
Depending on your skills and interest, you may also have project management responsibilities such as resourcing, programming, commercial and contract matters, risk, and quality oversight. You’ll provide input to the contract procurement process, preparing tender documents, specifications, BOQs, and construction drawings, and manage the tender process through to contract award. Additionally, you’ll support new business development initiatives and tender submissions to facilitate growth of our PCO account.
Candidate Specification
As an industry‑recognised professional, you demonstrate experience delivering coastal engineering projects using innovative and digitally driven techniques. You have strong project management skills, are comfortable networking and collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams, and enjoy building relationships with stakeholders. Your written communication skills are strong; you write reports and deliver presentations. You understand different forms of contract and procurement processes.
You Will Also Demonstrate The Following
* A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering orado technical equivalent
* Chartered with a relevant professional institution such as ICE, IStructE, or CIWEM (or equivalent)
* Experience in business development, including client liaison and bid preparation
* Willingness to travel overseas for project assignments when required
