Scotch Orchard Primary School is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our school community and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that pupils remain on task and engaged with the work provided. Under the guidance of teaching and senior staff, you will help maintain a positive, productive learning environment. Key responsibilities include; Supervise and deliver pre-set work left by the class teacher in accordance with school policies. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a calm and focused learning atmosphere. Support pupils by clarifying instructions related to process and procedures (not content). Address immediate issues or emergencies following school guidelines. Collect completed work and return it to the appropriate teacher. Report back on pupil behaviour and any issues during supervision. Support and supervise pupils during school visits, trips, and out-of-school activities. Contribute to lesson planning and support agreed learning strategies under guidance.
