Job Title: Specification Sales Manager – Lighting

Location: UK (Field-based with regular visits to HQ)

Reports to: Head of Sales

We are expanding our presence in the commercial and specification lighting sector through LEDNIX, our professional‑grade brand designed to deliver innovative, energy‑efficient solutions across multiple sectors including sports, commercial, and architectural applications.

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on, self‑driven Specification Sales Manager to spearhead the growth of the LEDNIX brand within the UK. This role is about more than selling – it’s about building a brand from the ground up, developing deep relationships, and positioning LEDNIX as a trusted lighting partner across key verticals, with a particular emphasis on sports lighting.

The successful candidate will be a project‑led individual – someone who thrives on getting involved in all stages of the sales and project lifecycle, from early specification and design influence through to delivery.


Key Responsibilities

* Identify, target, and develop strong relationships with specifiers, consultants, contractors, end users, and key decision‑makers in the commercial and sports lighting sectors.
* Achieve and exceed agreed monthly and annual sales targets through proactive project acquisition and account development.
* Build and execute a strategic sales plan to establish LEDNIX’s reputation and footprint in the UK market.
* Promote the LEDNIX brand and solutions to clients, consultants, and contractors through meetings, presentations, and networking events.
* Develop and manage your own sales pipeline — from lead generation to closing — and provide accurate reporting and forecasting.
* Work closely with the Head of Sales to define and deliver the sales plan and growth strategy for the LEDNIX brand.
* Gain necessary UK accreditations and approvals for LEDNIX products, ensuring alignment with relevant standards and frameworks.
* Collaborate internally with marketing, product, and technical teams to align client feedback with product development and brand positioning.


About You

You’ll be a self‑starter with a strong commercial drive and an entrepreneurial mindset. You know how to create opportunities, open doors, and convert relationships into results. You thrive on autonomy and take ownership of outcomes.

We’re particularly interested in individuals who:

* Have strong connections within the contractor or specification community, able to deliver quick wins with mainstream commercial projects.
* Possess experience or a strong network in sports lighting — able to access decision‑makers in sports clubs, councils, and leisure facilities.
* Alternatively, are already selling into the sports or infrastructure sector (e.g., columns, pitches, fencing, surfacing) and have the network and attitude to quickly adapt to lighting.
* Understand project sales and the dynamics of influencing specifications at design stage.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills and are confident representing a developing brand.
* Are motivated by targets, results, and the satisfaction of building something lasting.
* Proven experience in specification or project sales, ideally within lighting or adjacent industries.
* Strong network within the contractor/specifier or sports infrastructure sectors.
* Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Ability to develop long‑term relationships and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously.
* Full UK driving licence.
