What You'll Do
The Sr. Fabrication Manager is responsible for supervising and training fabrication personnel, overseeing the manufacture and quality control of all equipment, parts orders, work orders, and process instructions. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
The Day-to-Day
1. Oversees all fabrication projects (woodworking, upholstery, metalworking, welding, painting).
2. Organizes, monitors, and prioritizes tasks to meet production goals.
3. Manages a small team of welders, painters, and carpenters.
4. Performs special projects and designs custom orders to fulfill customer requests.
5. Develops and monitors budgets and schedules to ensure cost adherence and efficiency.
6. Expedites and manages multiple projects within deadlines.
7. Maintains high standards of production quality.
8. Supervises staff to produce manufactured products and organizes workflow.
9. Participates in department meetings to improve communication.
10. Monitors inventory levels and initiates purchase orders for supplies and materials.
11. Enforces all safety practices and procedures, ensuring employees receive appropriate safety training.
12. Checks all work in shops for completeness.
13. Coordinates with all departments on special projects.
14. May oversee installation of high-touch jobs.
Requirements
* 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or related field.
* Good knowledge of general math and trigonometry.
* CAD skills and experience are a plus.
* Knowledge of warehouse safety policies.
* Knowledge of fabrication, repairs, and replacement methods and techniques.
* Strong knowledge of tools and equipment with hands-on mechanical ability.
* Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment accurately and efficiently.
* Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
* Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent organizational and project management skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for reading and writing reports, emails, etc.
* Ability to manage and direct a diverse staff.
* Ability to work independently and in groups.

Compensation and Benefits
* $85,000 - $100,000 DOE
