Miller - Egham - Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 (DOE)
A global leader in aerospace component manufacturing is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to program, set, and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis milling machines. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled CNC professional to work on precision aerospace components in a technically advanced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program CNC machines (3, 4, & 5 axis) using Fanuc and Sinumerik controls (online)
* Program offline using EDGECAM
* Set and produce first-off components to meet exacting tolerances and quality standards
* Generate setup documentation and ensure repeatability in production
* Continually improve processes and tooling through updated cutting technology
* Collaborate with management to meet production timelines and flag potential issues
* Provide technical support and solutions for production and process issues
* Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to maintain rigorous QA standards
* Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards on the shop floor
* Mentor new staff and support team members as needed
Required Experience & Skills:
* Proven experience in CNC milling - programming, setting, and operating
* Strong background in aerospace machining preferred
* Proficiency in EDGECAM for CAD/CAM offline programming
* Hands-on experience with Fanuc and Sinumerik controls
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Skilled in both metric and imperial systems
* Apprenticeship background and technical training courses preferred
* Sound understanding of measurement tools and QA practices
* Good command of English and Mathematics
