Job Overview
As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. You will support residents with personal hygiene, recognise clinical risk areas, and act courteously, respecting their dignity and individuality. You will work in a close‑knit team in a caring, supportive environment with opportunities to learn and develop throughout your career.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents in all personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity, and respect at all times.
* Recognise and understand clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infection and raise any identified risks promptly.
* Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting each individual's dignity and individuality.
* Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience is not required as Avery Healthcare offers an induction and training programme. The ideal candidate must have:
* Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
* Initiative and respect towards residents and others in the home.
* Efficient work style capable of carrying reasonable instructions from team members.
* Adaptive and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
