Associate Mechanical Engineer Birmingham City Centre Up to £75,000 Package Overview A growing, design-led building services consultancy with a strong national reputation is looking to appoint an Associate Mechanical Engineer to play a key role in the development of its Birmingham office. Working with Tier 1 contractors on high-value, technically complex schemes, this is an opportunity to step into a leadership role while helping scale a high-performing regional team. The Role Sitting directly beneath Director level, you’ll take ownership of mechanical delivery across multiple projects while remaining hands-on technically and visible to clients. The work is predominantly at detailed design stage, giving you strong technical depth alongside real project ownership. A key part of the role is contributing to a highly structured and standardised way of working. Each project follows a defined operational process, with clear responsibilities and task-driven workflows for every engineer — creating consistency, efficiency, and a delivery model clients trust. Team & Growth You’ll be joining a close-knit Birmingham team, with clear plans to double in size in the next 18 months. This role will be central to that growth, alongside the planned hire of two Senior Engineers and Graduate support. You’ll play a key role in mentoring, shaping team structure, and setting the standard for delivery as the office continues to scale.
