An exciting opportunity has became available to work as a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker, working across site at North Tees & Hartlepool Urgent Treatment Centres. We now also work in collaboration with James Cook & Redcar Urgent Treatment Centres.
Main duties of the job
Main duties include completing clinical observations such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturations, temperatures, electrocardiograms (ECG) and urinalysis on adults and children who attend the Urgent Treatment Centre. This role also includes the application of splints and plaster casts and wound care management for injuries.

Job responsibilities
Main duties include completing clinical observations such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturations, temperatures, electrocardiograms (ECG) and urinalysis on adults and children who attend the Urgent Treatment Centre and being able to identify unwell adults and children and escalating appropriately. This role also includes the application of splints and plaster casts and wound care management for injuries.
Effective communication skills and the ability to independently follow instructions is also a key aspect of the role. As well as, completing mandatory training and remaining up to date with clinical practice.
Person Specification
Qulifications
* Level 3 in appropriate subject (or on pathway) or equivalent qualification/experience
* Literacy and numeracy skills, Level 2 or Grade 4 or above in English and Maths.
* Care Certificate
Experience
* Recent relevant experience in acute care.
Knowledge
* Ability to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate quality care.
* Ability to meet basic care needs
* Ability to elevate clinical concerns appropriately.
