Principal Arboricultural Consultant, Northamptonshire
This role is with a professional consultancy specializing in trees, woodland, and the natural environment, offering services from environmental planning to garden design with a cohesive team of experts.
Your new role
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality arboricultural advice, conduct surveys, prepare reports, and support project delivery and compliance.
Responsibilities
1. Provide technical expertise in arboriculture for client projects.
2. Conduct tree surveys and assessments, including condition, hazard, and risk evaluations.
3. Prepare and review arboricultural reports and management plans.
4. Advise on tree protection, planting, and preservation plans.
5. Coordinate with team members, clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
6. Mentor junior staff and support professional development.
7. Assist in business development and marketing efforts.
Minimum Requirements
* Proven experience in arboricultural consultancy, preferably in residential or land development sectors.
* A degree in arboriculture, forestry, or related field.
* Experience conducting various tree assessments.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.
* Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
