Job Summary
A rare and exciting opportunity to join our friendly team in Ophthalmology Outpatients as a Band 5 Registered Nurse. As an effective communicator, you will provide an efficient and effective service to all users of the department. You will have the opportunity to develop and practice a diverse set of clinical skills working alongside various experienced team members.
Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who can demonstrate recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.

* Coordinate and deliver effective, quality nursing care based on a patient-centered model.

* Supervise and direct junior nursing staff, Healthcare Assistants, and learners.

* Take responsibility for the area in the absence of senior staff, following Trust standards and policies.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential):
* Current NMC Registration
* Diploma in a health-related subject or equivalent experience
Desirable:
* Degree in Nursing

* Awareness of research and evidence-based practice

* Venepuncture skills
