Customer Account Advisor
Part-time permanent role, 20 hours a week (Sunday, Monday & Tuesday)
Salary – £25, per annum (pro-rata for part-time, £13.51 per hour)
Location – Meadowbank Sports Centre
We are looking for a friendly, dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Accounts Advisor to join our customer service team based at Meadowbank Sports Centre.
As the face and the voice of Edinburgh Leisure, you will be responsible for:
1. Responding to telephone, email, and web enquiries regarding direct debit payments and accounts in a prompt, knowledgeable, and engaging way.
2. Providing a meaningful and positive experience to every customer by delivering high-quality, helpful support and service.
3. Maintaining the member and payment database to ensure all customer information, payment details and transaction records are up to date and properly processed.
4. Ensuring that all price changes and membership upgrades are accurately reflected in the system and communicated to customers in a timely manner.
5. Contacting customers who have outstanding payments to facilitate the collection process in a professional, empathetic and positive manner.
6. Managing cancellations positively and ensuring that every member feels valued.
Our ideal candidate will be:
7. Customer Service expert with knowledge of direct debits, finance systems and MS Office.
8. People-focused individual with strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
9. Great listener with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to clearly convey information and ideas to a varied customer base.
10. Decisive, fair, and consistent problem-solver with strong decision-making skills, able to organise and prioritise.
11. Computer-literate with the ability to work with a range of IT software/systems e.g., membership systems and point of sales systems.
