Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Workshop Management: Plan, allocate, and supervise daily workloads for workshop staff. Ensure that all repairs, servicing, and inspections are completed safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer standards. Coordinate with operations and site teams to prioritize breakdowns and maintenance tasks.
Technical Leadership: Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on a wide range of heavy plant machinery. Provide expert technical support and mentoring to workshop and field service engineers. Ensure correct use of diagnostic tools, equipment, and service procedures.
Quality Safety: Maintain strict adherence to company health, safety, and environmental policies. Conduct safety checks, toolbox talks, and ensure workshop compliance with regulatory standards. Inspect and sign off completed work, ensuring quality control and compliance with service records.
Administration Reporting: Maintain accurate job cards, service reports, and equipment maintenance logs. Monitor parts inventory, order supplies, and liaise with suppliers and vendors. Provide regular updates to management on workshop performance, costs, and equipment condition.
