Job Summary
To safely operate machinery and support production processes in the steel fabrication and galvanizing workshop, ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and alignment with Legrand's core values. Duties
* Uphold Legrand Way core values in all aspects of work, promoting a culture of respect, integrity, and continuous improvement.
* Operate and monitor power presses, rolling mills, turret punch, press brake, and spot welding equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
* Perform MIG welding tasks to fabricate steel components to required specifications.
* Prepare steel products for galvanizing, including cleaning, jigging, and inspection.
* Assist in the operation of the galvanizing plant, including immersion, fluxing, and post-treatment processes.
* Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure product quality and compliance.
* Maintain strict adherence to health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE, safe handling of materials, and hazard reporting.
* Participate in risk assessments, safety briefings, and toolbox talks.
* Complete production records and shift handover documentation accurately.
* Support housekeeping and 5S initiatives to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
* Report equipment faults and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in steel fabrication or galvanizing operations preferred.
* Competent in operating heavy machinery and welding equipment.
* Strong understanding of health and safety practices in industrial environments.
* Ability to read technical drawings and follow work instructions. (desirable but not essential)
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
* Forklift license or other relevant certifications (desirable but not essential).
* Willingness to work rotating shifts and occasional overtime.
Work Environment
Industrial workshop with exposure to heat, noise, and chemicals (e.g., flux, zinc).
Mandatory use of PPE including gloves, goggles, steel-toe boots, and respiratory protection where applicable.
Team-oriented environment with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Shift Pattern
Early Shift & Late Shift 14:00 - 22:00 - rotating weekly
Night Shift 22:00 - 06:00
