FPW Axles Ltd is a privately-owned company which has been established for 40 years. At FPW Axles we design and manufacture a wide range of bespoke axles and reduction gearboxes for Special Purpose Vehicle manufacturers across the world. Due to our growing and diverse portfolio an exciting job opportunity has arisen for an Inspector.
We are looking for an experienced Inspector who will thrive in this fast paced and challenging role.
Key Responsibilities
· All aspects of Inspecting Components to drawing requirements & specifications.
· Dimensional inspection of components using Hexagon CMM
· CMM programming PCDMIS
· Recording and communicating findings clearly
· Control and monitor QMS procedures
· Assist with Audits and maintaining ISO 9001:2015 QMS
· Calibration of measuring equipment
· First off, patrol and final inspection of machined components
Qualifications and Experience
· CMM Programming and operating experience is essential
· Read & Understand Engineering drawings. inc GDT
· Time Served Engineer with Apprenticeship.
· Previous Machine Shop Inspection experience is essential
· Computer literate
· Excellent communicator
· Weld Inspection experience beneficial

Dependent upon Experience and Qualifications - £40K-45K
Holidays – 34 days holdays
Normal working hours – 8-5 Mon-Thurs, Fri. 38.5 hours/week
Overtime – time + ½

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
