Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are pleased to be working with an excellent SME business in Kingswinford as they look to recruit a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Initially established as a manufacturing company, our client has gone through several iterations over the past 70 years and now specialise in the selling of products and services to a wide range of customers within the UK.
Your new role
In this Management Accountant role, you will work as part of an experienced finance team and ensure management accounts are prepared in an accurate and timely manner.
Main duties:
1. Production of monthly management accounts for group companies
2. Assist with the preparation of the board pack
3. Support with annual budget preparation and half-year forecasting
4. Annual audit preparation and liaison with auditors
5. Maintain/improve financial controls and processes
6. Day-to-day control of the invoice discount facility
7. Ad hoc reporting and project work
What you'll need to succeed
8. Qualified/newly qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - consideration may be given to part-qualified candidates who are nearing the end of their studies
9. Broad finance experience with strong management accounting skills
10. Manufacturing background (highly desirable)
11. Proactive approach to work with the ability to see the bigger picture
12. Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
13. Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of ERP systems
