Senior planning leadership role on the Isle of Man, with relocation funding and 22% income tax.*
Role:
ONE Consulting is recruiting a Planning Lead / Master Scheduler for a global manufacturing organisation based on the Isle of Man.
This is a critical, highly visible role at the centre of the organisation’s manufacturing and planning activity. While the position requires strong technical capability and the ability to undertake detailed, independent planning and analytical work, equal importance is placed on active engagement across the business.
The role forms part of a wider investment in group-level planning capability and offers a clear pathway towards a broader SIOP leadership role over time.
The successful candidate will be an experienced planning professional with deep expertise in master scheduling and demand planning, able to use data and insight (supported by ERP/MRP systems and Power BI) to drive informed, balanced planning decisions.
This role will suit someone who is comfortable combining focused analytical work with a strong day-to-day presence across operations, able to lead planning conversations, challenge assumptions and drive alignment across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance and the Executive team.
Who This Role Will Suit:
This role is intentionally broad in seniority and is likely to appeal to one of the following profiles:
* A high-potential, upward-trajectory planning professional who is ready to step into a senior appointment, taking ownership of a complex planning function and grow into broader SIOP responsibility over time.
* An established master of planning and scheduling, potentially with subsequent senior supply chain or SIOP experience, who will enjoy running and stabilising a critical function while shaping the next phase of the company’s planning maturity.
In both cases, the role requires someone who is committed to the site, the team and the long-term development of the planning function.
Responsibilities:
* Own and lead the Master Production Schedule across the full planning horizon, balancing demand, capacity and inventory targets.
* Develop and maintain robust demand and forecast models, incorporating business intelligence, sales forecasts and contract review inputs.
* Ensure schedules are feasible, capacity-aligned and reflective of real operational constraints.
* Act as the focal point for planning decisions, proactively engaging stakeholders to resolve trade-offs and competing priorities.
* Provide accurate and timely inputs into Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
* Identify scheduling conflicts, material shortages and resource constraints, developing practical contingency plans.
* Lead cross-functional planning discussions, escalating risks where necessary and driving clear, joined-up decision-making.
* Maintain a visible presence across operations, ensuring planning assumptions remain grounded in day-to-day realities.
* Manage, coach and develop a planning skillset across the team, embedding best practice and continuous improvement.
* Support the ongoing development and maturity of the site’s SIOP process, influencing outcomes through expertise and credibility.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in master scheduling and demand planning within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong analytical and numerate capability, with experience managing complex planning data and systems.
* Excellent understanding of ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling.
* Ability to build and interpret Power BI dashboards and reports to support decision-making.
* Comfortable operating in a highly visible, interactive role, engaging daily with teams across the business.
* Able to lead through influence, building alignment and momentum without reliance on formal authority.
* Confident balancing independent, detailed planning work with collaborative, cross-functional engagement.
* Strong communication skills, able to translate data into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders.
* Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Background in planning, procurement or finance with exposure to SIOP.
Remuneration:
* Competitive Salary.
* Flexible benefits package, including private medical.
* Relocation package available.
