Working Hours: Full time, 36 hours per week. 1pm to 9pm Mon-Fri, following an initial 3-week training period.
About the role
We’re looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our Credit Cards team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc. You will handle customer inquiries via inbound calls, covering purchasing queries and complex questions about interest rates. You will also encourage customers to explore our digital channels for self-service options and address customer complaints when necessary.

Your ability to adapt quickly and deliver exceptional customer service is key to success in our fast-paced call centre.
Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding customer service using excellent listening and relationship-building skills.
* Manage high call volumes efficiently, ensuring a positive customer experience.
* Engage with customers across communication channels, primarily inbound calls, with occasional outbound calls.
* Take full ownership of customer issues from initial contact to resolution.
* Use judgment to handle and resolve queries, accessing relevant tools as needed.
* Understand customer circumstances to offer personalized solutions.
* Document interactions, issues, and resolutions accurately within systems.
* Educate customers on products and services, supported by full training to become a Tesco Bank product expert.
Candidate requirements
* Customer service experience, ideally in a call centre, retail, hospitality, or other customer-facing roles.
* Strong communication and active listening skills, with empathy and resilience for complex interactions.
* Confidence in using technology, including Microsoft Office and multiple systems in a fast-paced environment.

* Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
* Ability to work effectively in target-driven settings.
Work location and progression
