Main duties
Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) provides primary healthcare to members of the Armed Forces and other entitled personnel.
The MOD Dentist aims to maximise the deployability of the population at risk, providing clinical outputs, improving, and managing the dental health and operational fitness of service personnel.
Tasks include providing clinical outputs, maintaining dental health, and improving operational fitness for personnel under your responsibility.

Person Specification
Registrations and Memberships
* Full GDC registration without conditions, with registration number and details of any restrictions.
* Required to be registered before submitting application; application will not progress without valid registration.
Qualifications
* Foundation Dentist Training undertaken, or qualified before foundation training became compulsory.
* Or evidence of adequate current clinical experience (UK or abroad) to practice independently.
Experience
* Clinical currency: at least 2 operative primary dental care sessions per week over last 15 months.
* Background in military dentistry provision and primary dental care.
* Valid UK driving licence.
* Evidence of currency with GDC CPD requirements.
* Prepared to contribute to staff skills and knowledge development.
* Confidence in using IT.
* Participation in performance management and clinical QA & appraisal.
* Ready to cover on‑call out‑of‑hours duties if required.
Behaviour Statement

Compensation
£60,188 to £99,410 a year pro‑rata for part time.
