Key Tasks/Accountabilities
* Assist the Digital Manager in governing content platforms, including the CMS and Content Planner Tool, and implementing the Club’s content strategy across all website channels.
* Utilize in-depth knowledge gained through research, analysis, and tools like Google Analytics and Content Square to support website content decisions, CRO, and influence the overall content strategy.
* Collaborate with the SEO agency and Digital Marketing Manager to deliver best practice copy, technical, and on-page optimisation, focusing on increasing Organic traffic.
* Coordinate with third-party agencies such as YEXT to ensure our digital presence is fully optimised, up-to-date, and tools/assets are maximised.
* Liaise with Product Owners and Marketing Managers to ensure content about products and services is relevant, accurate, and effectively promotes benefits to support the Club's objectives.
* Oversee and maintain website content to ensure it is current, accurate, aligned with the content plan, campaigns, digital best practices, brand and editorial guidelines, and SEO strategy. Ensure content is optimised for lead generation.
* Act as an ambassador for web content marketing, proactively leading content initiatives across the business. Support planning, execution, and delivery of the content plan.
* Plan, research, create, proofread, publish, and measure content performance, producing high-quality, engaging content that supports the Club’s target markets and business goals.
* Ensure the timely end-to-end delivery of website content, from planning to publication.
* Manage and update the content team’s work schedule, sharing weekly workload, project timelines, and delivery deadlines with the Digital Marketing Manager.
* Utilise qualitative and quantitative data to enhance engagement and web conversions.
* Collaborate with the Digital team to test website development releases, which may occur outside normal working hours.
* Handle sensitive and confidential data in compliance with FCA regulations, the Data Protection Act, and Club policies, ensuring all data is protected.
Essential Skills & Experience Required
* Degree-level education in Marketing, English, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
* Copywriting experience is essential.
* A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Leadership experience within a digital content team, ensuring deadlines are met.
* Experience in digital publishing, content creation, editing, and publishing is advantageous.
* Proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop is advantageous.
* Ability to work collaboratively and independently, contributing as a team player.
* Strong communication skills across departments and stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Creative flair and innovative ideas.
* Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
* Passion for content marketing, digital trends, and best practices.
* Experience with EPiServer and other CMS platforms is advantageous.
* Basic HTML knowledge is advantageous.
* Understanding of Google Analytics 4 is advantageous.
* Confidence in presenting and engaging with audiences.
