Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.
As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high-integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.
As part of our current high‑growth phase, we are seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance team and support our Financial Controller in providing monthly management information and stock reporting.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Taking ownership of all aspects of monthly management accounts preparation to include accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, journals, balance sheet and P&L
* Supporting with reporting and management of stock
* Monthly/quarterly VAT returns
* Assisting with financial audit and full year accounts preparation
* Assisting with R&D tax claims and Corporate Tax Returns
* Support with quarterly grant claims.
Skills and experience required:
* Previous experience as a Management Accountant or similar
* Qualified Accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent
* Strong Excel skills
* Instinctive problem-solving skills coupled with a sound analytical approach
* A 'self-starter' attitude with energy and enthusiasm, with the ability to thrive in a small business environment
* Ability to work under pressure while managing conflicting demands against tight deadlines
* A flexible approach to work
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Desirable:
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment
* SAP B1 experience
* Experience working in a SME
* UK driving license and ability to travel.
