Job Description
The Senior Health and Safety Advisor role is responsible for ensuring the provision of a high-level advisory service across the department. The role undertakes relevant work to ensure legislative compliance, and works to promote best practice standards across the department.
The role builds, establishes and maintains working relationships with key stakeholders, to influence and promote a whole of organisation approach to a positive and proactive approach for health and safety management.

Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following four (4) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total.
1. Relevant tertiary qualification or higher in a health and safety related discipline, or relevant transferable skills and degrees.
2. Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of work, health and safety programs and strategies, including advise and support delivery to key stakeholders.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, the development and delivery of facilitating health and safety initiatives, training and education programs.
4. Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, communication skills, and consultative skills, including the ability to effectively influence and maintain stakeholder relationships to achieve health and safety initiatives.
