Project Manager (MEICA) Permanent | £65-70k + company car + 25 days holiday + bank holidays Based in Reading or Kent or Portsmouth (with regional travel across the South East)
Are you a driven Project Manager (MEICA) looking to lead impactful infrastructure projects in the water industry? If you thrive on ownership, enjoy managing both people and process, and want to work in a fast-growing contractor with long-term frameworks, this is the opportunity that will elevate your career.
This is a chance to join a dynamic team delivering complex mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) projects across Thames and Southern Water frameworks. As a Project Manager (MEICA), you'll be the lead figure on multiple projects up to £500k in value — shaping strategy, coordinating teams, managing budgets, and owning relationships with clients and stakeholders.
The Role
In this hands-on role, you'll manage projects from initial brief through to commissioning and handover. Every day brings a mix of planning, problem-solving, site visits, technical review, and direct team leadership. You'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining exceptional quality standards. You'll also be the main point of contact for client engagement, managing updates and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Your ability to drive clarity and progress — while managing multiple technical and operational demands — will be crucial. This isn't a desk-bound role; it's a varied and fast-paced position that puts you at the centre of real operational delivery.
Qualifications
To succeed as a Project Manager (MEICA), you'll ideally have:
A recognised qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering (HNC/HND/Degree level)
Project management certifications such as PRINCE2 or PMP (preferred but not essential)
Relevant health & safety certifications (e.g. SMSTS, IOSH) are advantageous
Experience Required
We're looking for a Project Manager (MEICA) who can bring:
Strong experience delivering EICA or M&E projects within the water or wastewater sector
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, procurement and subcontractor performance
Demonstrable leadership experience managing cross-disciplinary teams
Confidence in client-facing roles, with the ability to maintain positive relationships
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
What's in it for you?
Salary up to £75,000 per annum
Company car
25 days annual leave + bank holidays
True ownership of your projects and delivery path
Long-term career development within a growing contractor
Opportunity to make a real difference across environmentally significant projects
Whether you're an experienced Project Manager (MEICA) or stepping up into a senior delivery role, this position offers long-term progression, meaningful work and a supportive, ambitious culture.
Take the next step in your MEICA career — apply today and lead projects that matter.
